Spanish III/IV Description

Spanish III/IV is a combined class designed to further develop students’ ability to communicate in Spanish with a focus on understanding spoken and written language, engaging in conversation, and expressing ideas through speaking and writing. The course is taught primarily in Spanish using a comprehensible, communication-based approach that emphasizes meaningful input and real-world use of the language.
Instruction is engaging and purposeful, incorporating stories, discussions, novels, and interactive activities that support all learners while appropriately challenging each level. Faith and culture are intentionally woven throughout the course, providing students with meaningful opportunities to communicate about God while deepening their appreciation for the Spanish-speaking world.

Textbooks and Supplies

The following textbooks and supplies are to be purchased by parents.

Students will be expected to purchase a Spanish book or novel (approximately $10) for reading in class. Once the class selects the book together, I will provide parents with information about where to purchase it.

½ inch 3-ring binder
Pocket Folder for handouts
A-Z Tabs that are 3-hole punched for binders
Pencil

Prerequisites

Successful completion of the previous level II or III, or permission of the instructor.

Class Information

Parents are responsible for purchasing all textbooks and supplies before the first day of class.

KEYS will invoice supply fees at the time of registration and class selection. This fee covers materials, lab supplies, and other expenses incurred by the teacher. It is a one-time fee, transferable until August, but non-refundable.

Please note the grade level for this class. Students younger than the recommended grade levels need special permission before signing up for the class. Please contact the office for more information.
