Patricia Sorey is a native Spanish speaker from Alicante, Spain, who brings a lifelong passion for language and culture into her teaching. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Old Dominion University and has shared her love of Spanish by tutoring high school and college students and teaching through Chesapeake Parks and Recreation. Mrs. Sorey earned her Praxis World Language certification in Spanish in 2020 and is committed to creating a positive, faith-centered classroom that promotes cultural appreciation and language fluency. She teaches primarily in Spanish, using comprehensible input and engaging students through songs, stories, games, and interactive activities that make learning meaningful and fun. Her goal is to help students see Spanish as a way to connect with others, serve God, and share His love while using their unique, God-given talents. Outside the classroom, Patricia enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time in the Outer Banks with her husband, three children, and their Golden Retriever.
