All KEYS Elementary Science classes are hands-on and interactive yet organized and structured to weave together an ideal homeschool enrichment experience for the students. Elementary Science 2 for 2025-2026 will be a hands-on, interactive trip from head to toe through the human body. Using Exploring Creation with Human Anatomy and Physiology from Apologia’s Young Explorer Series, we will begin the year studying cells and then move through all the specific systems of the body, including the skeletal, muscular, circulatory, etc. We’ll then look at general health & nutrition and basic genetics. We will do many hands-on experiments to make these systems and concepts “come alive.” At-home assignments will consist of reading with short comprehension activities to ensure understanding, as well as assigned tests and projects. In-class instruction will include discussions of topics, demonstrations, experiments, and other fun activities.

Parents are responsible for purchasing all textbooks and supplies before the first day of class.
KEYS will invoice supply fees at the time of registration and class selection. This fee covers materials, lab supplies, and other expenses incurred by the teacher. It is a one-time fee, transferable until August, but non-refundable.
Please note the grade level for this class. Students younger than the recommended grade levels need special permission before signing up for the class. Please contact the office for more information.
