Kay earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Elementary Education certification from Virginia Wesleyan University. She worked in the public school system and as a second-grade teacher in a private, Christian school until the birth of her daughter. Since then, she has devoted her time and talents to her daughter’s homeschool education and has been a “KEYS mom” since 2012. Kay has been involved in children’s, youth, and women’s ministries, and she played an integral role in bringing American Heritage Girls to the Hampton Roads area.
