This course combines American Government and Economics. In the American Government segment (2 quarters), students will study the U.S. Government from a biblical perspective and develop critical-thinking skills to analyze how history and government influence decision-making at local, state, and national levels. Students will explore America's foundations, the U.S. Constitution, the three branches of government, and various political systems. In the Economics segment (2 quarters), students will examine basic economic principles and their application in business firms, financial markets, and government. This portion includes a practical analysis of how these economic tenets can be used to manage household finances, covering topics such as budgeting, banking, debt, credit, and interest, all within a free market and biblical worldview.
