Marta McNaughton

Spanish I - IV

Marta McNaughton holds a K–12 Spanish Teaching License from Fayetteville State University, NC, and has extensive teaching experience in both high schools and military bases. She has taught all levels of Spanish and focuses on cultural elements which were vital for military personnel preparing for language proficiency exams, such as the Spanish OPI and CLEP. Having learned English as a second language, Mrs. McNaughton teaches with empathy, helping students form meaningful connections between languages. Her passion for sharing the Gospel through language extends to her community in Chesapeake, where she provides Spanish-English interpretation at her church. In the classroom, she utilizes Spanish language apps, curated song playlists, and engaging games to create a dynamic learning environment. By incorporating Bible verses and worship songs, she encourages students to be open to God's will for their lives, including the possibility of missionary work. Fueled by faith and a love for language, Mrs. McNaughton inspires her students to learn and say “¡Sí se puede!” every step of the way.
