Crissi began her college studies at Radford University as a biochemistry major. She transferred to Old Dominion University and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and a Health Sciences minor. She worked for several years for Sentara. She has home-educated her children for 12 years while running local homeschool co-ops and programs. Crissi has helped lead the children's ministry program at her local church for over 15 years. She has a passion for helping teens see the glory of God's Kingdom through the wonders of science.
