Intermediate is for students who have completed Beginning Band Class or at least two years of private lessons on their instrument. Instruction will focus on proper technique, advanced musicality, good rehearsal habits, and expanding students' level of musicianship through listening skills, sight-reading, the introduction of minor key signatures, and music history. This course is designed for students in middle school and high school. This ensemble performs at KEYS Winter and Spring Concerts, and possibly at events outside of KEYS throughout the year. The intermediate class will meet on Tuesdays during September-December and February-April. The class will meet both Tuesday and Thursday in January and May to prepare for concerts. Tuition is $30 September - December and February - April, and $60 January and May.

Successful completion of Beginning Band or at least two years of private instruction with the approval of the instructor.
Parents are responsible for purchasing all textbooks and supplies before the first day of class.
KEYS will invoice supply fees at the time of registration and class selection. This fee covers materials, lab supplies, and other expenses incurred by the teacher. It is a one-time fee, transferable until August, but non-refundable.
Please note the grade level for this class. Students younger than the recommended grade levels need special permission before signing up for the class. Please contact the office for more information.
