Introduction to HS Worldview Description

Welcome to Intro to High School Worldview! In this class, we will learn different ways we view the world. Maybe you grew up on a church pew, and all you know is Christianity. Was your first boss a Buddhist like mine? Or maybe your friend is considering being a Christian, but you aren’t sure how to explain what you believe and the love you feel every day in following Jesus. Join me and your fellow students in this course, where we will discuss principles of a Christian worldview and compare those tenets with today’s most common humanistic worldviews. Let’s apply our Christian faith to sociology, psychology, law, politics, economics, philosophy, ethics, biology, sociology, and theology. Best of all, let’s dive deeper into God’s Word and truly understand the story He has been writing and telling for centuries: He loves us so much that he sent His Son to die for us—all of us. How do we develop a worldview that helps us to love him back with our heart, soul, mind, and strength? Join us and learn how. Ultimately, in the end, you get to decide how you view the world and share it with others. Discussion topics will include, but are not limited to, abortion, apologetics, cults, evolution, feminism, homosexuality, moral relativism, naturalism, pluralism, and socialism. This class does not meet the KEYS graduation requirement but will prepare students for HS Worldview Analysis.
