World Geography Description

In World Geography, we will learn about the countries of the world, their cultures, and the people who live in them (from a biblical perspective). The course will help students think critically and appreciate and understand regional and cultural differences.

The following textbooks and supplies are to be purchased by parents.

BJU Cultural Geography, 4th Edition by Dennis Bollinger

Rand McNally Atlas of World Geography
ISBN 0-528-01789-6
(or another atlas that is 10 years or younger and is not a children's atlas)

Supplies:
One 3-ring binder (at least 1.5 inches)
College or wide-ruled paper
Pencils
Colored pencils

Prerequisites

There is no prerequisite course; however, students need to have an understanding of U.S. geography because we won't spend much time on it.

Class Information

Parents are responsible for purchasing all textbooks and supplies before the first day of class.

KEYS will invoice supply fees at the time of registration and class selection. This fee covers materials, lab supplies, and other expenses incurred by the teacher. It is a one-time fee, transferable until August, but non-refundable.

Please note the grade level for this class. Students younger than the recommended grade levels need special permission before signing up for the class. Please contact the office for more information.
