Intermediate Guitar Description

This group course will build on the skills and styles taught at the Beginning level. Students will explore more complex chords, strumming patterns, and scales. Students will be introduced to Nashville Number Systems and more complex practical music theory in relation to the guitar. Students will be introduced to fingerstyle, learn more intricate songs, and will begin learning to play with others. Students must bring their guitars to class and are expected to practice daily. Intermediate Guitar will perform at the KEYS Winter and Spring Concerts and in an in-class recital twice a year.
