Spanish III/IV Description

Spanish III emphasizes both speaking and listening skills. Students will also be exposed to some Spanish literature appropriate to the level and appropriate to a biblical worldview. This is a most enjoyable course because students should be able to communicate effectively and naturally at this level. Of course, advanced grammatical constructions will be taught, but they are easy to understand. The instructor understands that not all students will have the same background, and as a result, they will be helped to catch up when needed without any feeling of not being at the same level as the other students. The purposes of Spanish IV include preparing and practicing easily flowing conversational fluency, good listening skills, and gaining confidence when speaking with a natural Spanish speaker. Spanish IV can be beneficial for college admissions. This class should be enjoyable and interesting. The approach will be for a natural usage of advanced grammatical techniques and ease of conversation. Spanish III and IV will be taught as a combined class. The instruction will be constructed to allow learning to continue for all students at both levels simultaneously.
