French II Description

As the official language of over 50 million people scattered over 40 countries and territories, French is a window on the world and more relevant than ever in our global economy. Successful completion of this course fulfills the requirement of two years of high school French for college admission. With an emphasis on communication, students engage all levels of thinking skills, e.g., recognition and recall, as well as analysis and application, creating, and predicting. Students participate in a variety of Interactive exercises that facilitate oral communication, listening comprehension, and pronunciation. The intentional use of authentic target language sources equips the student to use French appropriately in practical, real-world contexts.
