Art I Description

For growing artists, the students will continue practicing the elements of art (color, form, line, shape, space, and texture) while being introduced to the Principles of Design (contrast, balance, emphasis, proportion, repetition, rhythm, pattern, movement, variety, and unity). Art history will be integrated in the 2-D and 3-D Assignments. Assignments will be different on a yearly basis, so students can take this class multiple times. Art I is a prerequisite for Art II. Exceptions can be made at the teacher’s discretion.
